RP-MUSANZE COLLEGE UPLIFTS NKOTSI SECTOR THROUGH UMUGANDA AND HEALTH INSURANCE SUPPORT
On October 25, 2025, RP-Musanze College reaffirmed its commitment to community development and social welfare by actively participating in the monthly Umuganda activity held in Bikara Cell, Kabaya Village, within Nkotsi Sector. This impactful initiative brought together students, staff, and leadership, including the Principal, Eng. Emile Abayisenga, for a day of service and solidarity. During the Umuganda, the team focused on rehabilitating the home of Mr. Nimugire Juvenal, a vulnerable resident of the village. The restoration effort not only improved his living conditions but also symbolized the power of collective action in uplifting those in need.
In a remarkable gesture of compassion and responsibility, RP-Musanze College went further by covering community-based health insurance (Mutuelle de Santé) for 300 vulnerable residents across 98 families in Nkotsi Sector. This initiative aims to enhance access to healthcare and reduce financial barriers for the most disadvantaged members of the community. Eng. Emile Abayisenga, Principal of RP-Musanze College, joined students and staff in the Umuganda activities, emphasizing the institution’s hands-on approach to civic engagement. His presence underscored the importance of leadership by example and the role of education in fostering active citizenship.
RP-Musanze College continues to set a benchmark for how educational institutions can partner with local communities to drive meaningful change. Through initiatives like Umuganda and health insurance support, the college demonstrates that education is not confined to classrooms, it thrives in the heart of the community.
