RP‑Musanze College Celebrates Dr. Nishimwe Gaudence’s Landmark Research Achievement
On November 4, 2025, Nishimwe Gaudence, RP-Musanze College Lecturer in the Agricultural Engineering Department, received a prestigious research grant from the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST). Her groundbreaking project, “AI and IoT‑Enhanced Dairy Farming in Rwanda and Malawi: Smart Cooling, Spoilage Prediction, Prevention, and Data‑Driven Logistics,” represents a bold step toward transforming agricultural practices through technology and innovation.
Dr. Nishimwe’s work was formally recognized during the Rwanda Innovation Survey 2022–2024, held at the Kigali Convention Centre. This recognition highlights the importance of integrating artificial intelligence and Internet of Things solutions into dairy farming, addressing challenges of spoilage, efficiency, and logistics while promoting sustainable agricultural development across Rwanda and Malawi.
