Musanze Polytechnic donates Health Insurance to 110 vulnerable residents of Muko
On this 09th January 2018, Musanze Polytechnic donated Health Insurance to 110 vulnerable residents of Muko sector, Musanze district. This generous donation was offered through the “Community Outreach” programme of Musanze Polytechnic that gives an opportunity to the neighbouring citizens to improve their social welfare as they benefit from the presence of this institution.
Offering the cards of Health Insurance to the beneficiaries, Abayisenga Emile, the Principal of Musanze Polytechnic revealed out that such a support is from the commitment of the staff of Musanze Polytechnic. He mentioned that Musanze Polytechnic employees donate to help vulnerable people, near the institution, improve their welfare, and their commitment contributes to the implementation of government policies. He encouraged citizens to send their children to Musanze Polytechnic to get technical skills leading to job creation.
The beneficiaries received their medical insurance cards, and they expressed their gratitude towards Musanze Polytechnic. Niyikiza Marie Solonge, one of the beneficiaries, said that she was delighted to get the health insurance. “I couldn’t manage to get money to pay the health insurance of my family. Now, my family may access health services from hospital,” she added.
Niyibizi Aloys, the Executive Secretary, thanked Musanze Polytechnic for the support that enhances the good health of Muko sector. He encouraged the citizens of Muko to benefit also to the trainings offered at Musanze Polytechnic.
Musanze Polytechnic helps citizens to improve their social welfare through different activities. Apart from short courses offered to vulnerable people, it donated health insurance, cows, and house, to residents from different sectors of Musanze district. Musanze Polytechnic has so far given Health Insurance to 810 vulnerable people since it opened its operations in 2015.
