Members of Parliament visited Musanze Polytechnic
On 13th January 2017, Musanze polytechnic was visited by two members of Parliament; Hon.Murekatete Marie Thérèse and Hon. Murumunawabo Cécile. The main aim of their visit was to evaluate the contribution of Musanze Polytechnic towards the Government’s 7 years program in terms of social welfare of Rwandans. It is in this perspective that the parliamentarians visited programs and projects that Musanze Polytechnic has participated in Musanze district and the institution as well.
The Ag. Principal ABAYISENGA Emile welcomed the guests and gave a brief overview of the institution. Among the contributions Musanze Polytechnic has brought to the community are a house constructed for a vulnerable genocide survivor, seven fresian cows to produce milk donated to seven vulnerable families and payment of mituelle de Sante for more than six hundred people in Musanze district. He argued that this is continuous because community outreach is one of the major mandates of Musanze Polytechnic.
The Deputies toured the campus and workshops in order to see how students were actively learning and see the technologies at the institution. They were accompagned by the Mayor of Musanze District Mr. Habyalimana Jean Damascène.
