IPRC Musanze won the Best Tourism & Hospitality TVET School Award of the year 2019
On the 14th December 2019, IPRC Musanze emerged the Best Tourism & Hospitality TVET School of the year 2019. It was in the second edition of the Annual Rwanda Tourism Awards Gala Dinner at Kigali Convention Center. This event was under the theme of “Promoting Growth and Diversity through Tourism.”
Organised by Rwanda Tourism Chamber and Rwanda Development Board, the Annual Rwanda Tourism Awards Gala Dinner is an occasion that aims appreciating and recognizing the importance of all the operators in the sector of hospitality & tourism and celebrate their annual achievements.
IPRC Musanze joined the nominations as a TVET school that trains the workforce in Hospitality Management. Graduates from IPRC Musanze play a vital role in the industry of hospitality and tourism after the completion of their studies. After the online voting and assessment by the judges, IPRC Musanze won the award of the best tourism and hospitality TVET school of the year 2019.
IPRC Musanze equips students with skills and knowledge in the area of Hospitality Management who are ready to make a difference in making a positive change locally and globally in hospitality industry. In Hospitality Management, students are trained in all major operational areas of the hospitality industry such as Culinary Arts, Food and Beverage services, Front Office operations, Housekeeping, and Hotel Management.
Today, IPRC Musanze graduates are employed in different public and private tourism and hospitality institutions where they put into action the knowledge and skills they acquired from IPRC Musanze.
Rwanda’s Tourism sector continues to be a key pillar in the economic development of the country and in fact the leading forex earner. This sector contributes over 35% to the national revenues and it is expected to double revenues to $800 million in the next five years.
