IPRC Musanze has got new facilities
On this 24th November 2021, H.E Rao Hongwei, Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to Rwanda handed over new facilities of IPRC Musanze funded by his Government to Hon. Claudette Irere, Minister of State in charge of ICT & TVET. The facilities costed 87M RMB, approximately 13 billion Frw.
The new facilities are the following:

In his remarks, His Excellence Ambassador Rao Hongwueisaid that the bilateral between Rwanda and China has been in fast-track mode since President Paul Kagame’s visit to China in 2017 and President Xi Jiping’s visit to Rwanda in 2018. He stated that the extension of IPRC Musanze is one of the key projects for Rwanda under the Eight Major Initiatives proposed by President Xi Jiping in the 2018 Beijing Summit of FOCAC. “IPRC Musanze Campus is a flagship achievement in the field of educational cooperation between the two countries,” he added.
Hon. Minister of State in charge of ICT and TVET, Claudette Irere, said that thenew facility will increase the capacity of IPRC Musanze in both access and quality education to produce skilled and competent workforce that will positively impact on national economy. She clarifiedthat theproject has provided facilities that will improve training services by adding conducive training environment, quality training equipment, software, and quality internet connectivity. Furthermore,Hon. MoS of ICT and TVETrevealed that the facilities at IPRC Musanze are in line with urbanization, industrialization and ICT development guided by National Strategy for Transformation (NST1), the vehicle towards Vision 2050 that aspires to take Rwanda to high living standards and high-quality livelihoods.
Apart from agreat impact on quality education, the new facilities will also attract a big number of students who join IPRC Musanze. The Principal of IPRC Musanze, Eng. Emile Abayisenga, precisely explained that the new facilities will double students’ enrollment at IPRC Musanze from 1,250 students to 2,500 students by 2024.
IPRC Musanze offers trainings up to A1 in the areas of Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Hospitality Management.
