IPRC Musanze awarded certificates to 221 trainees
On this 23rd August 2019, IPRC Musanze offered certificates to 221 trainees who completed the Short Courses program in different trades namely Food Processing, Carpentry, Culinary Art, Food and Beverage Services, Masonry, and Domestic Electrical Installation. The trainings, delivered during this ending academic year of 2018-2019, were sponsored by the Fund for Neediest Survivors of Genocide in Rwanda (FARG), National Employment Program (NEP) and Skills Development Funds (SDF).
The trained candidates were in seven trades as follows:

In his remarks, the Deputy Principal in charge of Training and Academics, Eng. Mfinanga Joseph, revealed that, IPRC Musanze as a training institution, it equips the workforce with vital skills and attitude for increased productivity that are needed for the private sector growth. He mentioned that IPRC Musanze offers certificates as a proof of training to people who are ready to work or be entreprenuers in their relevant areas. He urged the trained candidates that the skills obtained during the training should not just be a certificate to be displayed as a picture, but should be translated into real world, and transform their lives.
Addressing the trainees, the Employment Promotion Officer at Musanze district, Uwantege Félicité, urged the trained candidates that the knowledge and skills they acquired should help them to start running their own business projects. She promised them a support from the district mainly through the Business Development and Employment Unit (BDE) and Business Development Fund (BDF) to polish their business ideas and get a financial support to run their viable business projects.
In his remarks, the Principal of IPRC Musanze, Eng. ABAYISENGA Emile, expressed his gratitude towards the trained candidates for their commitment and active participation from the beginning of the training to its end; in particular he thanked the trained candidates with university degrees who joined IPRC Musanze to acquire technical skills. He called upon the trained candidates to use the acquired skills and knowledge to promote their personal and national economic growth; he reminded them that they are the labour force that is needed in the implementation of the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). In addition, the Principal thanked the trainers who diligently imparted the knowledge and skills to the trained candidates, and he acknowledged the role of partners for making the trainings a huge success.
IPRC Musanze develops skilled workforce equipped with skills and professionalism for self-employment responding to the needs of the national and international labour market.
