A newly elected Guild Council vows to contribute the national growth
On this 15th November 2017, the new elected Guild Council at Musanze Polytechnic sworn in. Pacifique Nizeyimana, a student in Level II-Agriculture and Food Processing, is the newly elected Guild President in this Academic Year 2017/2018.
Addressing to the public, Pacifique Nizeyimana, the Guild President, revealed that the committee will strive toensure the social welfare of students, the growth of the institution and that of the country in general. He highlighted some of the gaols which will be prioritized such as : Encouraging students to participate in the programmes of the institution/the government, implementing Intagamburuzwa performance contracts, mobilising students to adopt the culture of saving, and encouraging students to create their own jobs and step up in innovation. He added that the committee alone may not achieve anything without the participation of all students and the support of the institution; therefore, the participation of each level will be of a great role.
The Principal of Musanze Polytechnic, ABAYISENGA Emile, the guest of honour during this ceremony, expressed his gratitude towards the outgoing committee for their tremendous achievements. He reminded the public that Musanze Polytechnic must contribute to the social welfare of the surrounding community, “our institution must contribute to the development and the social transformation of its surrounding community,” he said. The Principal welcomed the new committee and promised them the support of the institution as they execute their duties to achieve their gaols.
This newly elected committee is made up of: the Executive committee of 8 members, Representative board of 3 members, and the Arbitration Board of 3 members. They are committed toserve effectively the Musanze Polytechnic Students Union (MPSU) in this academic year 2017/2108.
