408 STUDENTS FROM IPRC MUSANZE WERE AWARDED ADVANCED DIPLOMA CERTIFICATES
On 31st May 2023 at BK Arena, Rwanda Polytechnic holds its 6th Graduation ceremony for 2885 students across its eight colleges. During the event, four hundred and eight (408) students from IPRC Musanze were awarded Advanced Diploma certificates following their fulfillment of academic requirements for five (5) different academic programs offered by IPRC Musanze namely: Agriculture and Food Processing, Irrigation and Drainage Technology, Construction Technology, Electrical Technology, and Hospitality Management.
In her remarks, The Vice Chancellor of RP, Dr. Sylvie Mucyo, honored graduates for their tremendous achievements and coveted them the best of luck in their journey on the labor market
“We are here to celebrate you, to acknowledge the great work you have done, to honor you with warm congratulations because you have satisfied all the requirements for the awards you receive today after many years of dedication and hard work. Today should give you the confidence to forge ahead into the next steps in your life with the good wishes of Rwanda Polytechnic.” Vice Chancellor-Rwanda Polytechnic
The Minister of Education Hon. Dr. Valentine Uwamariya, who was the guest of Honour in this ceremony, congratulated the graduates for the incredible journey they have undertaken. She urged them to be ready to contribute to the country’s social-economic development.
“Dear graduates, you have all demonstrated a strong will, focus and discipline throughout your time at the Rwanda Polytechnic colleges, these have proved that you have what it takes to make it in whatever career paths you take after this graduation ceremony. Rwandans expect much from you and I am sure that the skills that you acquired will meet their expectations. The world of work can be challenging, be prepared to embrace challenges and turn them into opportunities to impact society.”
By this event, IPRC Musanze graduate, Manirakoze Jotham from Hospitality Management was awarded by Rwanda Polytechnic as the college Best Performer, and Isezerano Ntawigenga Kevin who graduated in Agricultural Engineering was awarded a laptop by Alpha Milk Company Ltd as the Best Innovative Project. In line with promoting females’ engagement in the TVET sector, RP awarded Uwase Joselyne, a graduate of IPRC Musanze, Department of Hospitality Management, a program of Hospitality Management, as the Overall Best Female Performer.
In RP 6th Graduation ceremony, SIMBI Aime Jules, an alumnus of IPRC Musanze in the class of 2019, was introduced as a keynote speaker. He is the Co-founder and Operations Director of RCGF/Rwanda Ltd, a Company that produces precast outdoor furniture and table tennis made of stones. He is a 2018 Youth Connect award winner, young best exhibitor 2017 PSF Northern Province Expo 2017, and Best Practice and Best Performer 2019. While speaking his keynote, he revealed his journey to success and encouraged his peers to follow their passion and have a clear vision. He emphasized that having meaningful relations and learning from those who have been successful is the key to growth.
“Starting a business is not easy, but it's possible if you follow your passion and have a clear vision. Set goals and work hard to achieve them. Remember that success is a journey, not just a destination. It's through the journey that we discover our true potential. As you move forward in life, use the knowledge and skills you gained here. Embrace innovation and entrepreneurship. The world needs new ideas and people who challenge the status quo. Be brave and be the change you want to see. Don't underestimate the power of collaboration and networking. Build meaningful relationships, connect with others who share your interests, and learn from those who have gone before you. Surround yourself with supportive people who inspire you and help you grow. Success is not just about money or fame. It's about the lives you touch and the legacy you leave behind. IPRC Musanze is one of the eight colleges of Rwanda Polytechnic. Rwanda Polytechnic is a Public Higher Learning Institution that was established by the Government of Rwanda in 2017 by the Law N° 22/2017 of 30/05/2017 to merge 8 Polytechnics that were existing already. Before the merger, IPRC Musanze existed since 2015 under the name of Musanze Polytechnic. Currently, IPRC Musanze consists of 5 Departments with thirteen(13) Academic Programs. The Departments of IPRC Musanze are Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Hospitality Management, and Information Communication Technology (ICT). From the 1st Graduation of Rwanda Polytechnic up to this 6th one, IPRC Musanze holds 1779 graduates in total.
